It will make it smoother and less wavy, but I doubt it'll make it less curly. You could always try using more product to weight it down, but that can be kinda gross. You should probably grow it so the length will weigh it down and it won't be so curly. And don't get any short layers.

IF IT is a tight curl u could get a perm with larger rods that would be more like a body wave

no..i wish it would i have relly curly hair and i hate it !!! it does not work ive tried every trick in the book!!! umm the best thing to do is to get a striaghtening perm
