I don't think you need to worry about that. It's more a marketing thing than anything else. Formulas for shampoos are very similar as I understand, except from company to company. They just make you believe they have the perfect miracle solution for your personnal hair !
It's a big fat lie, but hey! that's the marketing world for you. It's like car publicity: its an image thing. They don't sell you features anymore on t.v., they sell an image first and foremost.

to liven up your hair and prevent frizz and volumize your hair use these steps:
use sunsilk anti-flat shmapoo, conditioner and creme. shampoo should be put directly on scalp and massgaed in for 2 min. then rinse. add conditioner at bottoms of hair and work your way up making sure it doesnt touch scalp (or else ull get a gnarly case of dandruff). rinse after 5 minutes. then use creme on towel dried hair starting from ends once again and working your way up. i suggest putting hair in a bun after brushing ONLY ONCE and instead of using hair tie use a big hair claw to create line free look. will make your hair bouncy, fresh and frizz free!

Biotin tablets are really good for your hair.
For thin hair, I do not know for sure. I have thick curly, halfy, hair.
However, if your hair is thin and if you have white hair, then you could just use baby shampoo every other day or so.
And keep things light and simple with conditioner. Suave Coconut conditioner it the tops in my book. Wonderful stuff.
I would lay off hairspray since you have thin hair and just use a conditioning mousse or something.
