i usually straghten or curl my hair - but the heat damage is awful (i also let my hair air dry) - any styling suggestions without the heat??

Air drying is probably the best. I don't like to leave the house with my hair soaking wet, so I usually get out of the shower, apply the product to my hair and maybe scrunch it a bit, then put it back up in a towel. I go about my business (getting dressed, putting on make-up) and then I remove my hair from the towel. This way, I have eliminated alot of the excess moisture. In the summer, I drive to work with the windows down and by the time I get there, my hair is mostly dry. Another option would be some cute updo's or braided hair styles. Braid your hair one day (don't wash out the following morning) undo the braids and you'll have instant waves.

well i got a few tips for ya.

1. you could go to a hairdresser and ask for a body wave. it gives you soft curls but not ringlets so it looks natural still. like you have wavy hair.

2. invest in some good hair rollers.

3. buy a product that contains salt water. salt water helps curls hair. you will have a beachy look.

i recommend: john frieda or pps

hope i could help and if u have frizzy hair try checking your shamp and cond. dont buy supermarket brands. (they are no good) invest in really great stuff from a hairdresser. and get monthly hair treatments from your hairdresser.

you might never know , your hair might just need a bit more moisture and it may look great.

I can take all the time I need at night, but I am not willing to spend more than 5 minutes on it in the morning. I will not blow-dry it either, that just makes it look frizzy. I would rather not scrunch it because that looks too styled and unnatural.

i also have naturally wavy hair. i just rub an anti-friz serum in it in the morning while its damp and then usually i just add a tiny bit of gel so that it maintains a curl. it looks even better after it dries. so after you get your hair cut try that.

well i have curly hair and i dont blowdry it or spend more than 5 minutes on it a day either. all i do is after i wash it i put some frizz ease evenly throughout my hair, some garnier fructis mousse, and just let it air dry (no towel drying or anything). then i tie it back when i go to sleep. in the morning before i go out i put some garnier fructis smoothing milk to get the little frizzies down. thats all :D

i put the frizz ease and mousse in my hair while its still soaking wet. just squeeze out the excess water and smooth through with your fingers. i've found that to be better than using any comb.

also i think it helps if you dont wash it everyday because it strips the oils from your hair and it gets frizzier. i wash my hair every 3 days (i dont sweat or do any strenuous work though).

I've used it for years and it doesn't make your hair feel sticky or weighed down like a lot of other gels. Just run it through damp hair and then either let your hair dry naturally or dry it with a difusor.

The best conditioner for you to use in your hair is one that you can put in and leave it in. Those that you put in and wash out in 3 to 5 minutes only coats the outside of the hair. You need a deep conditioner in your hair. There are quite a few of them on the market. Go to a Beauty Store and ask the clerk to show you there Deep Hair Conditioners or go to a Beauty Shop and let them give you a Shampoo with a Deep Conditioner every two week or once a month.

My hair is the same way...I keep it on while wash and shave and then rinse it out. Also, try finding a good mousse or serum that can help (I use a Paul Mitchell but there is an Aussi de-humidifying serum that I've heard is really good).
